"I took this nude in my living room in Paris. Something about being there post-Brexit during coronavirus, feeling viscerally split from my usual geography, lent itself to a reworking of how I see myself, my body. A recovered anorexic, I’ve always been aware of my body being looked at, of operating a learnt gaze towards myself. It’s something I try to dismantle through photography, the power of Looking. Ironically, I’ve never been able to take my own nudes. But this time, I was able to be wholly present with myself. My lens was a mirror, not another pair of eyes."
